Awami League itself never thinks about what it got: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that her party Awami League never thinks about what it got by working for the people. Rather, Awami League considers what it can do for the welfare of the people. Sheikh Hasina said this while inaugurating the upazila Awami League headquarters in Chittagong’s Banshkhali through video conference from her official residence Ganabhaban on Wednesday morning. On the occasion, the Prime Minister also inaugurated 45 more Community Vision Centers in Upazila Health Complexes in 13 districts across the country. The Awami League president said, ‘Considering what we have been able to do for Bangladesh and its people, we have greatly changed the destiny of the country and its people in the last 14 years. After inaugurating the office of Awami League, Sheikh Hasina said that the office will help to convey the principles and ideals of her party to the grassroots. The head of government termed Awami League as a people-oriented party. He said Awami League will always stand by the people. Sheikh Hasina said that poverty has been reduced in the last 14 years as a result of the tireless efforts of her government and party leaders. It has been possible to ensure all kinds of services including healthcare for the people. Sheikh Hasina thanked the countrymen and people for voting Awami League to power. He said, “We want to ensure all kinds of services for the people.”
