Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that the election would be held as per the constitution. The BNP government has repeatedly defamed the constitution. Awami League will protect the dignity of the constitution and retain the next election in that light. He said this after paying tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum premises in Dhanmondi on Friday. On the occasion of the Father of the Nation’s 103rd birth anniversary and National Children’s Day-2023, tributes were paid to Bangabandhu’s portrait. After paying tribute, Obaidul Quader said that the obstacle to constructing Sonar Bangla, the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s dream, is communal evil. So, this poisonous tree of communal evil will be uprooted. In Bangabandhu’s golden Bengal, there will be no place for any communal evil. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid her first tribute to the father of the nation at 7:50 am on his birthday. Awami League President Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the party leaders at 7:12 am. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Advisory Board Member Amir Hossain Amu, Presiding Board Member Shajahan Khan, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Khairuzzaman Liton, Joint General Secretary Hashan Mahmud, Mahabubul Alam Hanif, AFM Bahauddin Nashim, and others were present on this occasion.
