Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar held a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday at Ganabhaban

Bangladesh and India have expressed satisfaction with bilateral cooperation in various fields. Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban. This satisfaction is expressed there. After the meeting, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed the journalists. He said, ‘Both sides have expressed satisfaction with bilateral cooperation in various fields. In the meeting, they discussed the regional economy of South Asia in the context of the post-Covid and Ukraine wars. The sixth Indian Ocean Conference will be held in Dhaka on Friday and Saturday. The G-20 summit will be held in India next September. They also discussed this in yesterday’s meeting. The Prime Minister hoped that India would make a significant contribution to advance the interests of people in developed and underdeveloped countries. Sheikh Hasina asked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convey her greetings. Jaishankar thanked Bangladesh for hosting the 6th Indian Ocean Conference. He said that the participation of Bangladesh in the conference is tremendous. Currently, the Prime Minister’s Ambassador-at-Large Mohammad Ziauddin is the Prime Minister’s Chief Secretary. Tofazzel Hossain Mia, Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen, Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Pranay Kumar Verma, and Indian Deputy High Commissioner Dr. Vinay George were present.
