I have instructed to install traffic lights to reduce traffic congestion.” – Prime Minister

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed to install traffic lights in the city to reduce traffic congestion. She mentioned, ‘Questions are being raised today about traffic congestion, but I instructed to install traffic lights just yesterday. This is to ensure that traffic congestion remains minimal.’

She made these remarks at a press conference following her visit to Germany, held at the Ganobhaban on Friday (February 23).

The press conference, chaired by Prime Minister’s Speechwriter Nazrul Islam, began at 10:00 AM. Representatives from domestic and foreign media participated. After the customary written statement, the Prime Minister answered questions from journalists.

She stated, ‘The introduction of metro rail and expressways has significantly reduced traffic congestion. Many areas have improved. If we have an additional 5 metro rails and the work on the expressways is completed, perhaps there will be no more traffic congestion
