Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury has announced the date for this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams. The exams will start on June 30. The Education Minister provided this information during a press briefing following a meeting of the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee aimed at conducting the HSC and equivalent exams in a fair and orderly environment, held today, Wednesday, June 5, in the ministry’s conference room at the Secretariat.
The Education Minister stated that this year, under the 9 general education boards, there are 1,128,281 SSC candidates. Among them, 533,680 are male students and 594,601 are female students. These candidates will take their exams in 2,725 centers from 4,870 institutions.
He also mentioned that under the Madrasa Education Board, a total of 88,076 candidates will be taking the Alim exams. Among them, 47,592 are male students and 44,484 are female students. These candidates will participate in the exams in 452 centers from 2,685 institutions.
