Permission for experimental of China’s new vaccine

The Chinese Institute of Medical Biology of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences has developed a vaccine for coronavirus. In short it is called IMB Campus. The Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) has approved the new vaccine for human experimental use.

ICDDRB will carry out the experimental application of this vaccine in Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) on Wednesday approved the experimental use of the vaccine in people 18 years of age or older.

China’s Sinovac Biotech wanted to test their Covid-19 vaccine experimentally in Bangladesh, but a year later, another vaccine from that country was allowed to be tested experimentally in humans.

The director of BMRC said that ICDDRB had submitted the protocol for the third phase clinical trial of this vaccine. They have been allowed accordingly.

“Our National Ethics Committee has screened their application. They have been approved for the third phase of the trial.”

The vaccine is tested experimentally to get evidence of its effectiveness beyond a few steps. The vaccine is approved only if that test proves safe and effective.

The Department of Drug Administration has already approved the emergency use of Oxford-Astrazeneca, Sputnik V, Synophorm, Pfizer-Bioentech, Synovac and Johnson vaccines in Bangladesh.
