Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan has been conferred the rank badge of Air Chief Marshal in a ceremony at Ganobhaban in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Assistant Press Secretary to the Prime Minister said, “Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed and Acting Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral M Abu Ashraf conferred the rank badge of Air Chief Marshal on the Air Chief.”
The press secretary said that after the ceremony, the Prime Minister wished the Chief of Air Staff success in discharging his duties and the Chief of Air Staff wished blessings to the Prime Minister at this time.
Prime Minister’s Office Secretary. Tofazzal Hossain Mia, Director General of the Special Security Forces Major General Mojibur Rahman and Prime Minister’s Military Secretary Major General (Retd.) Naqib Ahmed Chowdhury were present among others at the time.
Earlier, on the afternoon of June 12, Sheikh Abdul Hannan took over as the Chief of the Bangladesh Air Force.
