Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun has said that as the country is developing infrastructure, including roads, efforts are also being made to increase industrialization to create new jobs.
“We didn’t even sit down during Covid’s time,” he said. We are working for the country’s overall development under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. ‘
He said this while addressing a function organized on laying the foundation stone of five road development projects at Belab in Narsingdi district on Saturday. He was connected to the event online from the capital.
Belab Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) said. The function was presided over by Akhter Hossain Shaheen and was attended by officials of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), local people’s representatives, political leaders, and project stakeholders.
Out of the five roads that have been laid, four lanes have been developed under the Narsingdi District Rural Infrastructure Development Project and one route under the ‘Important Upazila and Union Road Expansion and Strengthening Project of Dhaka Division.’ The Minister of Industries laid the foundation stone of these virtual roads.
At the time, he said, it had been proposed to set up an apparel park on 500 acres of land at Belab in Narsingdi. It will go to ECNEC for approval. He hoped that the project would play a role in the development and industrialization of Belab and Narsingdi.
