Information Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Hasan Mahmud thinks that why BNP chose December 10 for the rally is a big question. He posed a question to the BNP and said, ‘Does the BNP want to express solidarity with the killers of intellectuals by holding a rally on December 10, the day of the blueprint for the killing of intellectuals?’ He put this question in the speech of the guest. Hasan Mahmud said, “On 10 December 1971, the mission of killing intellectuals started in this country. On December 10, several intellectuals, including journalist Sirajuddin Hossain, were abducted by the Pakistanis, who were later killed. That is, on this day, the mission to kill intellectuals began. Why BNP chose December 10 for the rally is a big question. But the answer to this question is very simple, said the minister. He said, “The reason why BNP has chosen December 10 as the date for their rally is that many of those who were involved in the killing of intellectuals, many of them are now BNP leaders, and the mission of killing intellectuals under the original leadership of Jamaat-e-Islam is the main partner of their alliance.” A few days ago, BNP’s Mirza Fakhrul Sahib said, “Pakistan was good.” The secretary general of the party says this cannot have any right to do politics in this country. So, they chose December 10 to stand in solidarity with the murderers themselves and again the murderers. Regarding BNP’s reluctance to go to Suhrawardy Udyan, Hasan Mahmud said, “The reason for BNP’s reluctance to hold a rally in Suhrawardy Udyan where Bangabandhu called for independence, where Pakistanis surrendered, is because they are friends of Pakistan.” BNP founder Ziaur Rahman built a children’s park there to erase the marks of Pakistani surrender. That’s why they don’t want to go to Suhrawardy Udyan. But our government has promised to allocate Suhrawardy Udyan for their convenience, so that they can gather more people, and has brought forward the BCL conference from 8th to 6th December for their preparation. The minister said, ‘But BNP has held rallies in the ground all over the country and after coming to Dhaka city, the field is not good anymore. They want to hold a rally in front of the party office in Nayapaltan where not more than 30 to 50 thousand people will hold that means there will be no people in their rally this is a fear. Another reason is that if they hold a rally on the streets, vehicles can be vandalized, fire can be set on fire as necessary, chaos can be created in the city, and anarchy can be created. But the Bangladesh Awami League, intellectuals, teachers, doctors, artists, and cultural workers will not allow them to do that, the minister said. . He said, they will not be given license to create chaos by gathering firefighters from all over Bangladesh in Dhaka city. On December 10, Awami League leaders and workers will be on alert in every ward. Stay in advance if needed. Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance Central Committee Executive President Rafiqul Alam, Vocalist of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, presided over the meeting moderated by Arun Sarkar Rana, General Secretary of Alliance, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University ASM Maqsood Kamal, General Secretary of Dhaka University Teachers Association Mohammad Nizamul Haque Bhuiyan, Martyr intellectual daughter Dr. Nuzhat Chowdhury, martyred intellectual daughter Shami Kaiser, former general secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League Shahe Alam Murad and senior co-president of Krishak League Sheikh Jahangir Alam.
