Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has commented that BNP founder Ziaur Rahman made the ship of Hajids a paradise. He said that Ziaur Rahman made the ship ‘Hizbul Bahar’ brought from Bangladesh to perform Hajj at a low cost. The Prime Minister said these things at the inauguration of ‘Hajj Activities-2023’ and the exchange of greetings with Hajj pilgrims at the Hajj office in Ashkona of the capital. He also said that immediately after independence, Bangabandhu requested the King of Saudi so that the people of our country can go for Hajj. The King of Saudi also arranged that. Bangabandhu set for Hajj at a low cost. After 1975, Ziaur Rahman came to power and turned that ship into a pleasure boat. Hajj did not take place then. It’s sad. He said that the father took measures to ensure that the Hajj system was appropriately done when he came to the government. It was a war-torn country. There is no reserve money. No currency notes. Gola has no food. In between, he took measures so that people could go for Hajj at a low cost. He arranged Hajj by buying a ship called ‘Hizbul Bahar’.
