The Prime Minister is on his way to Dhaka after his visit to Switzerland

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left for Dhaka after a three-day official visit to Geneva, Switzerland. He left Geneva International Airport for Dhaka on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 11:40 local time on Friday (June 16).

The Prime Minister’s visit is on the occasion of attending the conference titled ‘World for Work Summit: Social Justice for All’.

During the visit, the Prime Minister attended the conference titled ‘World for Work Summit: Social Justice for All’ and held meetings with the heads of states of various countries and heads of various international organizations.

The Prime Minister met with Swiss Confederation President Alain Burset, Malta President George W Bella, South African President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa.

Besides, during her visit to Geneva, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also held meetings with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, Prince Rahim Aga Khan, International Labor Organization (ILO) Director General Gilbert F. Houngbo, World Economic Forum Founder and Executive Chairman Professor Klaus Schwab, World Trade Organization Director General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. .

On the second day of the visit, on Wednesday (June 14), the Prime Minister participated in the plenary session of the ‘World for Work Summit 2023’.

On the morning of the third day of the visit, the Prime Minister participated in the program titled ‘New Economy and Society in Smart Bangladesh’ organized by the World Economic Forum.

In the afternoon, expatriates living in Switzerland attended the civic reception organized by the Bangladeshi community.

The Prime Minister will reach Dhaka around 1.30 pm on Friday.

Earlier, the Prime Minister arrived at Geneva International Airport at 5:10 pm local time on Tuesday (June 13).
