A mother vessel named MV Sumit has anchored in the inner anchorage of the port with 37 thousand 650 metric tons of coal from Payra thermal power plant of Patuakhali. This is the fourth ship after being launched on June 5.
On Sunday (July 9) at 4 pm, the ship arrived at Payra port outage. The ship was later brought to the inner anchorage, said the port authority.
Deputy director Azizur Rahman said, the Marshall Islands flag ship arrived from Balikpanan port in Indonesia with 37 thousand 650 metric tons of coal, a ship named MV Sumit from Payra port outerage to the inner anchorage of the port. By lightering 5,000 metric tons of coal, the ship will arrive at BCPCL jetty by Monday morning, after which the complete unloading process will begin.
The 199.90 meter long and 32.26 meter wide vessel named MV Sumit left Indonesia’s Balikpanan port about a week ago. Earlier, three other ships namely MV Zador, MV Pavo Brave and MV Athena brought coal.
