Warning signal number 3 in seaport, possibility of storm

A low pressure has formed over North West Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. As a result, gales are likely to blow over seaports.

Therefore, three local warning signals have been asked to be displayed at the four seaports of the country.

This information has been mentioned in the marine warning signed by meteorologist Khondkar Hafizur Rahman.

It has been said that the low pressure located over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas is currently located over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal-Orissa coast. Due to this, there is an excess of air pressure difference in the North Bay of Bengal and the coastal areas of Bangladesh. Gusty winds may blow over North Bay of Bengal and adjacent coastal areas and seaports of Bangladesh.

As a result Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to show local warning signal number three.

Besides, all fishing boats and trawlers stationed in North Bay of Bengal have been asked to approach the coast with caution until further notice.

However, there is no possibility of more rain due to low pressure, said meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque. He said that rain may increase from Monday-Tuesday.
