In the last 24 hours, 14 more people have died due to dengue. At the same time, another 1,594 new patients with dengue have been admitted to different hospitals in the country.
This information was informed in a press release about dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Friday (August 25).
It is said that in the last 24 hours, 1 thousand 594 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever.
Among them, 703 people are in Dhaka and 891 people are outside Dhaka.
In the last 24 hours, 1,588 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country. Among them, 700 people from different hospitals in Dhaka and 888 people from outside Dhaka.
In the notification, 14 people have died due to dengue in the last 24 hours. 11 deceased died in Dhaka and three died outside Dhaka.
528 people died due to dengue this year. Among them, 391 people are in Dhaka and 137 people are outside Dhaka.
Until August 25 this year, 100,224 people have been affected by dengue. Among them 52 thousand 656 people in Dhaka and 57 thousand 568 people outside Dhaka.
So far this year, 1 lakh 1 thousand 762 people have received clearance from the hospital. Among them, 48 thousand 510 people from different hospitals in Dhaka and 53 thousand 252 people from outside Dhaka.
At present, 7,934 dengue patients are admitted in hospitals across the country. Among them 3 thousand 755 people in Dhaka and 4 thousand 179 people outside Dhaka.
It is said that this year, the rate of dengue patients being discharged from the hospital is 92 percent. Hospitalization rate is 7 percent and death rate is 0.5 percent.
From January 1 to December 31 last year, the number of patients admitted to various hospitals in the country was 62 thousand 382 and 281 people died due to dengue.
