Can’t hand over humanitarian Bangladesh to terrorism

Dhaka: Transport Minister Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury has said that the words of Swami Vivekananda are about standing by people in times of crisis and helping them. It is through the sacrifice of blood in the war for humanity that Bangladesh became independent.

In this humane country, we cannot tolerate any terrorism. Instead, it is the responsibility of every citizen of our country to uphold this humane spirit.

On Saturday (September 9), in the first part of the concluding ceremony of the three-day event marking the centenary of Dinajpur Ramakrishna Ashram and Ramakrishna Mission in Dinajpur, the Minister of Transport spoke as the chief guest.

This information was revealed in a press release from the Ministry of Transport.

The minister said that we cannot forget the sacrifices of our forefathers who gave their lives to achieve independence for the country. Our great leader, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said that even if we have to give blood, we will repay the debt of the people of the country. What was the sense of responsibility towards humanity? Have we been able to demonstrate this? He not only gave his own life but his entire family sacrificed for the country. Therefore, to build a non-communal Bangladesh, we must move forward with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

Emphasizing the importance of non-communalism in Bangladesh, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that if we believe in humanity, then we can say that humanity exists and will continue to exist. Based on this philosophy, our great leader, the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said in his historic speech on March 7 that I do not want to be the Prime Minister, I want the rights of the people of Bangladesh. However, he did not say the rights of Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, or Christians. In this way, an inclusive Bangladesh has been created, where all religions ensure the rights of people. This is the certainty of creating a humane Bangladesh where the sacrifice of 30 lakh martyrs and the grief of two lakh mothers and sisters have played a significant role in making the country independent.

Keeping respect for all religions, the Minister of Transport said, a few days ago, there was a discussion at a house about what would happen in Bangladesh. I said I do not know what will happen. However, no one will be able to steal a mobile phone from our hands, no one will be able to cut off the Internet, no one will be able to take medicine for free from the community clinic, no one will be able to abstain from education, and no one will be able to stop the railway from Chittagong to Teknaf. Who can stop the Elevated Expressway in Dhaka? Can anyone stop the Flyover? Can anyone stop the Metro Rail? No one can because Sheikh Hasina has taken Bangladesh to that place. That is, after Bangabandhu, Sheikh Hasina has gained recognition as a humane leader not only among the Bengalis but also in the whole world.

Swami Dhruveshananda Ji Maharaj, the president of Almorah Ramakrishna Kutir, welcomed as the chief guest at the event.

Swami Ekanathananda Ji Maharaj, the president of Narayanganj Ramakrishna Ashram and Ramakrishna Mission, also gave a special address.

Additional Secretary Manoj Kumar Ray, Chief of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, was present as a special guest.
