Aircraft attacks have taken place in the capital of Sudan, a country in East Africa, resulting in the loss of 43 lives. At least 55 people were injured. The incident occurred at 7:00 AM on Sunday, September 10th, in the Kuro Market area.
This attack involved intense fighting between the Sudanese military and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group. The local assistant committee in Sudan has held the country’s air force responsible for the attack, with a reported death toll of 40 individuals.
In one report, it was stated, “At 7:15 AM on Sunday, a bomb attack was carried out in the Kuro Market area. The death toll in the Kuro Market massacre has reached 40.”
The Emergency Room Activist Group also reported a death toll of 40 in the aircraft attack.
A report from Turkey’s national news agency, Anadolu Agency, stated, “According to a medical group, at least 43 people have been killed in an aircraft attack in the Khartoum market on Sunday.”
It is not yet clear who was behind the aircraft attack. The RSF has been accused of involvement in the attack, but the Sudanese military has denied these allegations, describing them as “confusing” and “false.”
In April, there were differences between Sudan’s Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the head of the Rapid Action Forces (RSF), Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo. Following this, both forces engaged in a bloody clash, resulting in the deaths of several thousand civilians. Sunday’s aircraft attack marks the largest incident of violence against civilians since then.
According to various sources and information, more than 7,500 people have been killed since April. However, local concerns suggest that the actual number may be significantly higher.
