The fire at Mohammadpur Krishi Market was not brought under control even after three hours

Three hours after the fire broke out in the capital’s Mohammadpur Krishi market, the raw market is still not under control. 17 units of fire service are working at the spot to control the fire.

Two platoon members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed at the incident site.

Duty officer Anwarul Islam Dolan confirmed this information from the fire service headquarters on Thursday (September 14) around 7:30 a.m.

He said that seven units were first sent to the spot after receiving information about the fire at Mohammadpur Krishi Market at 3:43 pm on Wednesday. Later, the units increased step by step and now 17 units are working to control the fire. However, no casualty has been reported so far.

The duty officer Anwarul also said that the details of the origin of the fire and the damage will be known subject to the investigation.
