Bangabandhu dreamed, Sheikh Hasina is implementing: Army chief

Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman dreamed of building a ‘golden Bengal’ and forming a modern and up-to-date army. The dream of the father of the nation is being implemented under the able and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The army chief said these things while inaugurating a 15-storey family residence with 112 flats for army personnel of various ranks called ‘Sena Neer’ at Sheikh Hasina cantonment in Barisal. Apart from inaugurating the cantonment, he also inaugurated other important installations including the Garrison Central Mosque in Sheikh Hasina cantonment on Monday (September 18).

This information was given in a press release sent by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) at noon.

The army chief said that the fearless soldiers of the Bangladesh Army are always ready to help the civilian administration to deal with any national disaster. By constructing these facilities in the cantonment, the standard of living of the residents will be more comfortable than before; It will help to boost your morale. Only when you have high morale can you train properly; You can perform your duties properly. The duty of the Bangladesh Army is to serve the country, to protect the country from external enemies. We must always work with a spirit of self-sacrifice. We chose this army life to suffer. It is a challenging profession. We liked and loved it ourselves.

He said, if our country was not independent today, it would not have developed much. I deeply believe this. So those who have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our country, those who have sacrificed their lives for us, should not be forgotten. If you don’t sing the praises of a virtuous person, you don’t create a virtuous person. Those heroes who have sacrificed themselves for us should be remembered and praised. So that future generations do not hesitate to sacrifice themselves for the country.

General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Infantry Division and Area Commander Barisal Area, Senior Army Officers of Headquarters and Barisal Area, Junior Commissioned Officers, other ranks of soldiers and civilian officers and employees were present on the occasion.
