Razzak’s suggestive Facebook post after Bangladesh’s win

In recent days, Bangladesh’s cricket arena has been quite heated, with the exclusion of Tamim Iqbal from the World Cup squad and the exchange of comments between Shakib and Tamim adding more drama to the situation. Amidst this intense atmosphere, former cricketer and current national team selector Abdur Razzak posted a suggestive message on Facebook.

After Bangladesh’s victory against Sri Lanka in their first World Cup preparation match in Guwahati, where they secured a win with 7 wickets remaining, Razzak made a Facebook post from his personal account. In his post, he wrote, “We haven’t been blessed with players like Virender Sehwag, Lara, Ponting, Kohli, or Dhoni in our country. So, I don’t even think about it. Allah does what is best.”

This post by the former star cricketer has received various comments in a short period. Among the commenters is former national team captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who left a comment on Razzak’s Facebook post, asking, “Why did you write this?”

The exclusion of Tamim Iqbal from the World Cup squad has stirred controversy in the cricketing world in Bangladesh. Captain Shakib Al Hasan, along with the selectors, has faced criticism for this decision. Razzak is one of the selectors, and it is assumed that his post might be related to this issue. However, nothing specific can be confirmed.

In the match against Sri Lanka in Guwahati, Bangladesh chased down the target of 264 runs with 8 overs to spare, securing a comfortable win. Liton Das, Tamim Iqbal, and Mehedi Hasan Miraz delivered outstanding performances with the bat, each scoring a fifty in the match.
