More than 800 foreign workers laid off in Kuwait

More than eight hundred foreign workers are being laid off in Kuwait. The country’s Ministry of Interior has announced this layoff. Most of these workers are citizens of various Arab countries.

These workers have been given one month to complete the necessary formalities. However, the Ministry of Interior has not provided any explanation for this mass layoff.

It is believed that this decision has been taken as part of Kuwait’s current policy. Under this policy, foreign workers will be replaced with Kuwaiti citizens in various sectors of the country.

Recently, this initiative has also affected the education sector in Kuwait. At the end of the current academic year, Kuwait government plans to terminate the employment of around 1,800 foreign teachers.
