Shakib-Taskin told what they want to eat in India

Just a few hours to go, and then the cricket world will witness one of the most prestigious events in cricket, the One Day International (ODI) Cricket World Cup. The teams competing in the World Cup are now gearing up for the final moments with full concentration. However, amidst their busy schedules, cricketers are also finding various ways to relax and indulge themselves.

At the airport, two Bangladeshi cricketers, Liton Das and Shariful Islam, were seen enjoying some downtime. Former cricketer and commentator Athar Ali Khan hosted a meal for young cricketers Shanto and Miraz. Various arrangements are being made by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to reduce the pressure on the players.

In a similar arrangement, three Bangladesh cricketers were asked what they would like to eat during their trip to India for the World Cup. Captain Shakib Al Hasan, fast bowler Taskin Ahmed, and all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyadh gave different answers.

For the World Cup, teams will need to stay in India for more than a month. If a team makes it to the semi-finals or finals, they will need even more time. During this time, the cricketers will undoubtedly be curious to explore the local cuisine as well. When asked what food they would like to try in India, Taskin initially responded with “a lot of things.”

Then, Mahmudullah was asked, and he replied, “Butter chicken.” Finally, when Shakib was asked, after a few seconds of contemplation, he said, “I will say, Rogan Josh.” This is primarily Kashmiri cuisine, prepared with either goat or lamb meat.

Taskin’s response indicated a wide range of choices, while Mahmudullah favored a classic North Indian dish, and Shakib expressed his interest in trying a Kashmiri specialty, Rogan Josh.
