In a village in Ukraine, a team from the United Nations Human Rights Office has been deployed to investigate the incident of 52 deaths caused by a missile attack. Yesterday, the team from the OHCHR was appointed to investigate the incident in the village named Roza in the Kharkiv region.
Last Thursday, the local residents of the village were gathered in one place to bid farewell to a Ukrainian soldier. At that time, a missile attack occurred.
The OHCHR suggests that Russia may be behind this attack, but it cannot be confirmed at this moment.
Since the start of the Ukraine war, such a large-scale incident of civilian casualties in a single attack has not occurred in this region. A three-day mourning has been declared in the Kharkiv region.
Before the Russian attack in Ukraine, there were about 300 residents in the village named Roza. It is currently uncertain how many of them have survived. However, Elizabeth Throssell, a spokesperson for the OHCHR, stated that they have received the names of 35 people who have lost their lives in the attack. Among them, there are 19 women, 15 men, and an 8-year-old boy.
