Death toll rises to 500 in Gaza hospital attack, storm of condemnation from around the world

In Gaza, Palestine, the number of casualties has risen to 500 in an Israeli bombing at a hospital. The attack took place on Tuesday night at the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in central Gaza. Prior to this, hundreds of injured and displaced individuals sought refuge in the hospital, considering it a ‘safe haven’ from Israeli attacks.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health, controlled by Hamas, has confirmed that at least 500 people have lost their lives in the hospital bombing. Many are trapped under the rubble of the devastated building, and there is a fear that the number of casualties may rise further.

Images published in various news outlets and on social media show the upper floors of the hospital engulfed in flames. Surrounding areas are scattered with casualties. Injured individuals are being rushed in from the site of the explosion, their expressions filled with distress.

The deceased are being shrouded in white cloth and lined up in rows. This scene is captured at the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza.

Yesterday, at around 8 PM local time (11 PM Bangladesh time), multiple explosions occurred at the hospital. International organizations, including the United Nations and human rights groups, have strongly condemned this attack on civilians. Leaders of various countries, including those from the Middle East, have expressed their condemnation of this assault.

The Hamas ruling group in Gaza launched an indiscriminate attack on Israel on October 7. Since then, the Israeli military has been conducting relentless attacks on Gaza. This has resulted in a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territory.
