In the AFC Cup group stage match, Bashundhara Kings drew 2-2 against the Indian club Mohun Bagan. They managed to secure a draw despite falling behind in the match. This is the second consecutive draw for Oscar Bruzon’s disciples.
Before the start of the match, everything was against the Kings. Visa complications caused a delay in their arrival. They played without practice.
However, on the field, it was a different story for Rovshan Daryelton and his team. Bashundhara Kings fell behind within 29 minutes of the match. After 33 minutes, they managed to equalize against the Bangladeshi club. Daryelton scored the equalizing goal against Odisha FC, bringing Bangladesh Premier League champions back into the match. The match ended 1-1 in the first half.
In the second half, Mohun Bagan once again took the lead. Ashish Rai made a welcome goal, and later, the Kings equalized the match. In the 70th minute, Rovshan Rabiniov scored inside the box, earning a penalty for the Kings. The goal from the penalty brought Bashundhara Kings one point, thanks to Rabiniov.
On November 7th, Bashundhara Kings will face Mohun Bagan again at Dhaka’s Kings Arena.
