A four-day ceasefire is underway in Gaza, Palestine. According to the agreement, Israel and Hamas have initiated a mutual ceasefire and a prisoner exchange. Concurrently, the Israeli military has halted all types of attacks in the Gaza Strip. In this context, Gazans slept peacefully on Friday night after 48 days of tension.
Hani Mahmoud, a representative from Al-Jazeera in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, mentioned that there is a sense of temporary calm. For the past seven weeks, every night in Gaza has witnessed attacks and loss of life, but last night was different. There were no attacks, no loss of life, and tears were put on hold.
