The Bangladesh Book Fair will begin in Kolkata, West Bengal, India on December 4th and will continue until December 13th. This information was announced on Monday afternoon by the First Secretary (Press) of the Bangladesh High Commission in Kolkata, Ranjan Sen.
This time, the aura of the Bangladesh Book Fair is settling in Kolkata’s College Street and College Square areas, known as the Book Row. 70 publishing houses from Bangladesh are participating in this fair.
The fair will start every day at 1 PM and will continue until 8 PM. Various events, including seminars, recitations in the poet’s voice, songs, dances, and dramas, will take place on the fair’s stage every evening. There will also be interactive sessions between authors, readers, and publishers.
Ranjan Sen, in an interview with Prothom Alo, said that the detailed schedule of this year’s fair will be announced within two to three days.
The Bangladesh Book Fair is organized by the Bangladesh Publishers and Booksellers Guild, the Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh, and the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata.
