Next year in June, the Copa America tournament will take place across 14 venues in 10 states of the United States. This tournament marks the 48th edition of Copa America, featuring 10 South American countries and 6 North American countries.
The organizing committee, CONMEBOL, has announced the tournament’s commencement at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and the final match is set to be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on July 14.
For the quarter-final matches, AT&T Stadium and NRG Stadium in Texas, State Farm Stadium in Glendale, and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas have been chosen. The semi-finals will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina. Other venues include Q2 Stadium in Austin, Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Exploria Stadium in Orlando, and Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City.
The tournament’s group stage will run from June 20 to July 2, quarter-finals from July 4 to 6, semi-finals on July 9 and 10, and the match determining the third-place on July 13.
Although the Copa America is a South American tournament, it has previously been hosted in North America. The 2026 World Cup, to be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, has paved the way for Copa America’s return to the United States.
CONMEBOL President and FIFA Vice President Alejandro Domínguez stated, “The passion for football will span from east to west and from north to south through this extraordinary country, thrilling thousands of fans present at the venues and millions of viewers worldwide.”
The Copa America draw will take place next Thursday.
