Hizbollah attacked the Israeli command headquarters

Hezbollah, based in Lebanon, has claimed responsibility for an attack on an Israeli command headquarters, causing extensive damage. Israel has acknowledged that several of their soldiers were injured in the attack.

In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed that rockets launched from Lebanon struck northern Israel, resulting in injuries to several soldiers. Sirens were heard in northern Israel during the attack. The IDF successfully intercepted the suspicious drones from Lebanon and the aerial defense system thwarted both of them.

According to the IDF, two soldiers suffered moderate injuries, while several others sustained minor injuries. The injured soldiers were taken to hospitals for treatment.

Earlier on Sunday, Hezbollah claimed through social media that they had targeted an Israeli command headquarters in western Galilee, situated in southern Lebanon. They asserted that the attack was in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

In the past month, thousands of Israelis have been evacuated from areas near the Lebanon border. On Sunday, Israel’s aerial defense system intercepted rockets and drones launched from southern Lebanon.

In response to Hezbollah’s repeated attacks, Israel has been conducting airstrikes in southern Lebanon. The conflict escalated following the start of hostilities between Israel and Hamas in Gaza on October 7. Israel has faced retaliatory attacks from Hezbollah, including drone and missile strikes.

The ongoing hostilities have displaced around 50,000 people along the Israel-Lebanon border since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza approximately two months ago.

As of now, Hezbollah has claimed the deaths of at least 100 fighters in clashes with Israeli forces. Simultaneously, several Lebanese civilians have lost their lives in Israeli attacks.
