The time is December 17, 1903. American inventor Orville Wright takes to the sky in the world’s first engine-powered airplane. Soaring through the air, he manages to stay airborne for approximately 12 seconds, covering a distance of 36 meters (120 feet) at an altitude of about 12 meters (40 feet). In the subsequent period, Orville Wright, along with his brother Wilbur Wright, continues to conduct further experiments and tests with the airplane.
