During the holy Hajj season, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has announced a ban on travel visa holders entering Mecca.
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Thursday, May 23, local time, the Saudi Ministry of Interior stated that the Hajj season in Mecca started on May 23 and will end on June 21. To ensure the safety of Hajj pilgrims, this ban will apply to all types of visit visa holders. Anyone violating this ban and entering Mecca will be subject to fines according to Saudi regulations.
Additionally, the ministry’s statement clarified that visit visa holders are not permitted to perform Hajj.
This year, approximately 2.5 million people from around the world are expected to perform the holy Hajj, which is anticipated to take place from June 14 to June 19.
