Sheikh Hasina Receives Red Carpet Welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi

Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, who is currently visiting, received a warm welcome from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. Sheikh Hasina was given a red carpet reception and a guard of honor.

On Saturday morning (June 22), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was given this formal reception at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

Upon her arrival at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 9 AM, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was welcomed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A decorated cavalry escorted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s motorcade from the gate of Rashtrapati Bhavan to the Forecourt.

Following this, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was given a red carpet reception and a guard of honor. During this time, the national anthems of Bangladesh and India were played.

After receiving the armed salute, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inspected the guard of honor.

Later, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced members of the cabinet, senior officials, and distinguished guests from both countries in the Line of Presentation.

After the program at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went to Raj Ghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation of India. There, she will place a wreath at Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial.

She will then go to Hyderabad House. There, she will hold private and bilateral meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Following the meetings, several memorandums of understanding and agreements between Bangladesh and India are expected to be signed in the presence of the two Prime Ministers. After that, the two Prime Ministers will issue a joint press statement. Subsequently, Sheikh Hasina will attend a luncheon hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in her honor at Hyderabad House.

In the afternoon, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will meet with Indian Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at his office. Afterward, she will return to Rashtrapati Bhavan to have a private meeting with Indian President Droupadi Murmu.

At 6 PM Delhi time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will depart for Dhaka on a special Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight. She is expected to arrive in Dhaka at 9 PM Bangladesh time.
