On Sunday (July 28), mobile 4G internet services will be resumed from 3 PM, according to Junaid Ahmed Palak, the State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology. He made this announcement after a meeting with mobile operators at the BTRC in the morning.
Representatives from mobile operators, as well as from bKash, Nagad, Rocket, and Upay, were present at the meeting.
The government imposed a curfew starting from midnight on July 19 in response to protests and violence related to the quota reform movement in government jobs. The curfew, which was intermittently relaxed, is still in effect.
It was reported that the mobile internet service in the country was disrupted due to the suspension of the 4G network from midnight on July 17, prior to the imposition of the curfew.
