237 hospitalized with dengue

No one has died due to dengue in the last 24 hours and 237 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue throughout the country.    

This information was informed in a press release about dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Saturday (August 17).

It is said that 72 people in Chittagong Division (outside City Corporation), 22 people in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 36 people in Dhaka North City Corporation, 96 people in Dhaka South City Corporation, 3 people in Khulna Division (outside City Corporation), There are eight in Mymensingh Division (outside City Corporation).

In 24 hours, a total of 166 dengue patients were discharged from the hospital in the country, a total of eight thousand 141 patients were discharged this year. As of August 17 this year, a total of 9,217 people have been infected with dengue. Among them, 60.9 percent are men and 39.1 percent are women.  

No one has died due to dengue in the last 24 hours, 74 people have died of dengue so far this year.    

From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died due to dengue, and a total of 3,21,179 people were hospitalized due to dengue.
