Metrorail will run from Sunday

Metrorail employees have joined their work. The Metrorail authority has expressed hope to start the Metrorail from next Sunday (August 25).

Tuesday (August 20) Senior Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Department. Ehchanul Haque visited Dhaka Press Club metro rail station. At this time, the secretary discussed with the officials and employees of Metrorail about the speedy launch of Metrorail and gave instructions to take necessary measures in this regard. However, even if the metro rail is launched, the operations of the two stations at Kazipara and Mirpur-10 will remain closed for the time being due to the need for repair and renovation, he said. Besides, the secretary asked to take necessary measures regarding the operation of these two stations.

At that time, the senior officials of the Ministry including the Managing Director of Metrorail MAN Siddique were present.
