Kamala is determined, wise, and an eloquent speaker: Nancy Pelosi

On the third day of the Democratic National Convention, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi gave a speech yesterday, Wednesday. She described Kamala Harris, the party’s potential presidential candidate, as a determined leader.

Pelosi is one of the influential leaders of the Democratic Party. She was the first female Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Pelosi began her speech by describing the Biden-Harris administration as “one of the most successful administrations in modern times.”

Pelosi said, “I know Vice President Harris is ready to take us to new heights.”

“I have known Harris for decades. She is a determined leader. At the same time, she is wise in policymaking and an eloquent speaker.”

On November 5, the United States will hold its presidential election. Initially, President Biden entered the race for his second term.

However, questions arose about how capable he would be of serving another four years due to his age. After the first debate with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at the end of June, calls for Biden to step aside intensified.

Pelosi was among those from the Democratic Party who urged Biden to step aside. It is reported that she played a significant role in convincing him to do so.

In her speech at the convention, Pelosi also praised Kamala’s running mate, Tim Walz.

She said that the seat from which Walz became a congressman was once a Republican stronghold. He turned it “blue” by uniting Democrats, Republicans, and independent voters.

Pelosi also referenced the “Capitol riot” of January 6, 2021. She criticized Trump for “joyfully” embracing that political violence.

Pelosi said, “We will not forget who assaulted democracy on January 6. He did. But also, don’t forget who defended democracy that day. We did.”
