Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris’s campaign has raised $540 million in a month for campaign funds. Kamal’s campaign team said this last Sunday local time. This amount of money collected for an election campaign in one month is a record in the history of any election in the United States.
On July 21, President Joe Biden announced his sudden withdrawal from the presidential election race by supporting Vice President Kamala. Then Kamala’s campaign raised an eye-watering $540 million in campaign funds.
The US presidential election will be held on November 5. Kamala Harris and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump are now plowing the field in the last 10 weeks of fighting.
Former President Trump started campaigning when Biden left. His campaign reported raising nearly $330 million in early August.
Kamala Harris formally accepted the party nomination at the Democratic Party’s national convention last Thursday. Shortly before that, his campaign chairwoman Jane O’Malley Dillon said in a document, ‘We have officially passed the $500 million fundraising mark.’
Dillon added, ‘After Kamala’s speech at the national conference, we see our best time in fundraising. Campaign group Kamala-Team Olaj (Running Mate) raised $540 million in the first month of fundraising. This is a record in the history of any election in the United States.’
