Republican candidate Donald Trump has announced the sale of new digital trading cards to raise funds for the November presidential election in the United States.
Telling about the sale of digital trading cards, Trump said that among the supporters who buy 15 or more trading cards, he will actually receive a trading card, which will be accompanied by a piece of a suit. After this suit, he (Trump) appeared in the first face-to-face presidential debate with President Joe Biden last June.
The former president said these things in a video message on social media, Truth Social, on Tuesday.
The first face-to-face debate between Trump and Biden took place in the studio of the US broadcaster CNN in Atlanta, Georgia. Biden, the oldest (81-year-old) president in U.S. history, was unimpressed in the debate.
Biden was cornered early on by Trump’s rhetoric in the debate. Biden has to face severe criticism from inside and outside his own party, the Democratic Party. At one point, he was forced to withdraw from the presidential candidacy.
However, the new digital trading card unveiled by Trump is named ‘America First’. There are half a hundred new pictures of him on the cards.Digital trading cards are priced at $99 (Tk 11,682) each. A Trump supporter who collects 15 or more trading cards (for $1,485 or Rs. 1,75,230) will receive a real trading card.
In this context, Trump said, ‘People are calling it a knockout suit. I don’t know about it, but that’s what they’re saying.’
Trump also said, ‘We will tear this knockout suit (the suit in which Trump beat Biden on the debate stage) to pieces. You will get each piece. You will give the collected items to family members, children, grandchildren.’
