Trump rejected the offer of a second debate with Kamala

In the upcoming US presidential election, Republican Party candidate Donald Trump has rejected the offer of a second debate face-to-face with rival Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris. He rejected the debate proposed by CNN on Saturday.

But Kamala’s campaign confirmed the Oct. 23 debate hours before Trump’s rejection. Orange campaign chair Jane O’Malley Dillon said in a statement that Vice President Harris is open to another debate with Donald Trump. He accepted a debate invitation from CNN on October 23. Trump should have no problem participating in this debate.

A few hours after this statement, Trump canceled the offer of a second debate with Kamala at an election rally in Wilmington, North Carolina. There, Trump said, the biggest problem of another debate is the lack of time. Voting has already started.

The next US presidential election will be held on November 5. But from last Friday, advance voting has started in person in some states.

Kamala and Trump participated in the first face-to-face debate on September 10. According to various polls, Kamala won the debate organized by ABC News. Since then, Trump has expressed disinterest in a possible second debate with Kamala.

Before Kamala, the current President Joe Biden was the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party. Biden and Trump participated in the debate last June. Biden was caught by Trump.

Pressure has mounted on Biden to drop out of the race since his disastrous defeat in the debates. In this situation, he announced to withdraw from the post of presidential candidate at the end of last July. He announced the name of Kamala as the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party. Kamala’s candidature was later finalized at the party’s national conference.
