Dr. Yunus also had a courtesy call on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau yesterday. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen the relationship between Bangladesh and Canada, expand civil liberties, institutional reforms and support the youth of Bangladesh. Professor Yunus also handed over ‘The Art of Triumph’ to the Prime Minister of Canada. Prime Minister Trudeau assured cooperation in Bangladesh’s institutional reforms and praised Professor Yunus’ leadership.

He appreciated Canada’s friendship towards Bangladesh and Canadian government’s support to the interim government. He requested the Prime Minister of Canada to grant more visas to Bangladeshi students.
