There is now discussion among party leaders and activists that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will return to the country soon after her treatment.
Previously, Khaleda Zia visited London on July 15, 2017, for follow-up treatment for her eyes and legs. Due to a layover, she landed at London Heathrow Airport around 12:50 PM Bangladesh time on July 16.
At that time, BNP’s then Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman and a large number of leaders and activists from the UK BNP welcomed Khaleda Zia at the airport.
During that visit, the emotional reunion between Khaleda Zia and her son, Tarique Rahman, left both of them teary-eyed. Tarique Rahman personally drove his mother, Khaleda Zia, in his car.
