Indian High Commissioner Visits Chief Adviser’s Office for Courtesy Call

Dhaka, Bangladesh – January 22, 2025

In a move aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, His Excellency Mr. Pranay Verma, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call-on Lieutenant General (Retd.) Abdul Hafiz, ndc, psc, the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser (Defence and National Solidarity Development). The meeting took place at the Chief Adviser’s Office in Dhaka on January 22, 2024.

The discussions between the two dignitaries were collaborative and focused on enhancing cooperation and mutual interests between India and Bangladesh, particularly in areas concerning defense and national solidarity development. Lieutenant General Abdul Hafiz (Retd.), known for his extensive background in the defense sector, welcomed the High Commissioner and expressed hope for continued engagement in various strategic matters.

In addition, Professor Dr. Mahmodul Hasan, a respected International Solidarity Strategist, also participated in the talks. Dr. Hasan’s insights were considered valuable, as he contributed a global perspective on the ongoing efforts to enhance international solidarity and cooperation.
