At last Afghans won the fourth match of the series

Bangladesh U-19 team had already secured a series win by winning the first three matches against Afghanistan. So, the Afghanistan U-19 team was desperate for the first win. The Afghans finally won the fourth match of the series.

The youth of Afghanistan lost to Bangladesh by 19 runs. Despite this loss, Bangladesh is leading 3-1 in the five-match series.

Bangladesh won the first two matches of the series by 16 runs and 3 wickets, respectively. The hosts secured the series by winning the third match by 121 runs.

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The Afghans scored 210 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs in Bilal Ahmad’s half-century. Bilal made 60 off 88 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. Besides, Suleiman Arabzai scored 43 runs from 52 balls. Mohiuddin Tareq of Bangladesh took 2 wickets.

Bangladesh had a good start with a target of 211 runs. The two openers put up a pair of 52 runs. However, if the next batsmen failed, Bangladesh lost the seventh wicket in 130 runs. And there, they are in danger of collapsing quickly. However, Tahajibul Islam, who came down to number eight, saved the batting team from a quick collapse.

Tahajibul raised the possibility of the team winning. But in the end, without the help of tail-enders, Bangladesh tasted the rate. The hosts were all out for 191 runs. Tahajibul remained unbeaten on 50 off 75 balls.

Bilal of Afghanistan was the best in the match. The fifth and final match of the series will be played on September 19 at the same venue.
