From today experimental vaccination on children will start

The implementation of the government’s plan to bring children between the ages of 12 and 18 to be vaccinated against coronavirus is starting today. This program will be started experimentally by vaccinating 100 school students in Manikganj.

On Wednesday, the Director General of the Department of Health, Professor Dr. Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam gave this information on Facebook Live.

He said the Ministry of Health and the Department of Health are working under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In continuation of this, the vaccination program is starting tomorrow, Thursday. The immunization program for children will start at 12 noon at Colonel Malek Medical College in Manikganj.

He added that initially Pfizer vaccines will be given to boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18 in two government schools in Manikganj. Those who will be vaccinated there will be monitored for 10 to 15 days. Later, large-scale vaccination activities will start in the capital. In this case, the concerned people including the Ministry of Education will be involved in the vaccination program.
