Foreign Minister A. K. Abdul Momen said that Saudi Arabia is a good friend of Bangladesh and this friendly relationship is very strong.
He spoke at the handover ceremony of 1.5 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine donated by Saudi Arabia and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center at the state guest house the Padma yesterday morning.
Dr. Momen praised the Saudi government and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, saying Bangladesh was grateful to Saudi Arabia for its assistance over the years and during the Covid-19 epidemic.
The vaccine was handed over to Foreign Minister A. K. Abdul Momen and Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek by Isa Youssef Isa Al Duhailan, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh.
Among others, Foreign Secretary (Senior Secretary) Ambassador Masood Bin Momen, Senior Secretary of Health Services Lokman Hossain Mia, Director of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Dr. Abdullah Alwadi, senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare were present on occasion.
