Lionel Messi, the Argentine superstar of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has self-isolation after passing the Covid-19 test. This was informed by the club yesterday.
Messi is a seven-time Ballon d’Or winner among the four PSG footballers who tested positive in the Covid-19 test ahead of the French Cup match against Venice. He is having a hard time leaving Barcelona and coming to the French capital. Messi has scored only one goal in 11 league matches for PSG. However, the Argentine star has already scored five goals in the Champions League.
Messi will not be able to take part in Monday’s cup match due to the corona attack. Not only that, after the winter break, the Argentine will have to be on the sidelines in the first match of the league next Monday.
The rest of the PSG players affected by the corona are full-back Juan Bernat, substitute goalkeeper Sergio Rico and young midfielder Nathan Bitumazala. PSG said, “All of them have been kept in isolation in accordance with the health rules.”
Note that coroner infestation has reached its peak in France. This week, the daily circulation has crossed 2 lakh.
