Anisul for ensuring speedy judicial services to ease people’s sufferings

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq yesterday urged all judges to ensure quick judicial services to mitigate people’s sufferings.

“You should utilise your own talents, thoughts and strategies for speedy disposal of each case and alleviation of the suffering of the people seeking justice,” he said.

The law minister was speaking as the chief guest at a reception programme given to Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique at the Bangladesh Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) here organized by the Women Judges Association of Bangladesh (BWJA).

He said Bangladesh is moving ahead in all indicators of development today and the Judiciary of Bangladesh is also a partner in this development.

The 23rd Chief Justice of Bangladesh Hasan Foez Siddique was given a reception on the occasion.

For the sake of women’s justice, the minister said when a judge conducts a case, the judge is not a woman or a man, the person is a judge.

“Therefore, in order to establish a peaceful society, men and women must work together,” he added.

With association’s president Hosne Ara Begum in the chair, the reception programme was addressed, among others, by founding president of BWJA and director-general (DG) of JATI Justice Nazmun Ara Sultana, judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court Obaidul Hassan, justice Enayetur Rahim, law secretary Golam Sawar and registrar general of the Supreme Court Bazlur Rahman.
