Education Minister and Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League (AL) Dr. Dipu Moni yesterday said that a vested quarter is trying to create communal incidents in educational institutions by failing to create instability in the country.
“Their attempts will not succeed in any way,” she said this while talking to reporters before attending a function organized by the Chandpur district administration at Chandpur Circuit House.
The minister said, “I have seen a number of incidents in different parts of the country in recent times, which show that a vested quarter is trying in various ways to create a volatile situation in the country but is failing.”
Then they are happening in some educational institutions, which they are again trying to give a kind of communal look. I believe this malpractice will not succeed in any way; Moni added.
She further said, “We are vigilant. The people of our country believe in non-communal spirit. People respect teachers. Teachers were requested to be vigilant. Appropriate action will be taken against those involved in these incidents”.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anjana Khan Majlish, Superintendent of Police (SP) Milon Mahmud, Chandpur District Women’s Awami League President Professor Masuda Nur, District Juba League Joint Convener Mahfuzur Rahman Tutul and District Chhatra League President Zahir Uddin, among others, were present on the occasion.
