Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday criticized the Russian attack on a cultural center in the eastern part of the country. Seven people, including a child, were injured in the attack.
In a statement on social media, Zelensky said Russia had attacked the newly renovated House of Culture in the eastern city of Lazov.
He sharply criticized the occupiers for considering education, culture and humanity as their enemies. These are not being protected from their missiles or bombs.
Zelensky called the attack “extremely stupid and extremely evil.”
Local health official Victor Jabashta told the Ukrainian News Agency that seven people had been injured in the attack. None of them have died yet.
Zelensky provided a video. It showed a plume of smoke billowing from a large building near a residential building. Earlier, a loud explosion was heard from here. After the explosion, the debris spread around.
Note that on February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine. Since then, the country has been regularly accused of attacking civilian installations.
