Dengue situation is bad across the country, stable in Dhaka: Health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Malek has commented that the dengue situation in Dhaka is stable even though the dengue situation is bad all over the country. He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the tree planting program in Manikganj Colonel Malek Medical College premises on the occasion of National Mourning Day on Sunday (August 13) afternoon.

The health minister said that there are about 9,500 dengue patients admitted across the country and about 82,000 people are infected. But we are trying our best to provide treatment. About 3 thousand beds have been made for patients in Dhaka city. Out of this, more than 2,000 patients are admitted and 5,000 beds have been made outside Dhaka. Hopefully, there will not be a shortage of beds.
