Dhaka: The President of Indonesia, Mr. M. Sahabuddin, has been requested to wear a red scarf during his visit to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
On Monday (September 4th), President Sahabuddin is set to arrive in Jakarta to attend the 43rd ‘Asian Summit’ and the 18th ‘East Asia Summit,’ scheduled to take place on September 5th-7th.
President Sahabuddin will be received at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport by Indonesia’s Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya, Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen, and Charge d’Affaires of the Bangladesh Mission in Indonesia, M. Sajibur Rahman, along with other officials.
On Monday morning at 8 o’clock, a commercial flight (BG-584) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with President Sahabuddin, his wife Dr. Rebeka Sultan, and other dignitaries on board.
Indonesia, a democratic republic, has invited President Sahabuddin to participate in the ‘Asian’ (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Summit and the ‘East Asia’ Summit at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
At the summit, the President is expected to deliver a concluding speech on “strengthening regional leadership from the IORA perspective.” Additionally, he will hold separate bilateral meetings with Indonesia’s President, Vietnam’s Prime Minister, the ASEAN Secretary-General, and several other national leaders.
After the conclusion of the summit, President Sahabuddin is scheduled to visit Singapore for a health checkup on September 8th. He is expected to return to his home country on September 16th.
